AGE: 26 (as of 9-30-10) GENDER: Male RACE: Caucasian MUTATION: Captain Britain can lift (press) approximately 2 tons under optimal conditions. Captain Britain can fly at a maximum speed just under the speed of sound (770 miles per hour) for prolonged periods of time (until bodily fatigue requires him to rest). He can erect mystical force fields at his mental command. This force field is employed to protect him from atmospheric conditions while flying. It is strong enough to deflect a bazooka shell without deforming or rendering its wielder unconscious from the concussion. HEIGHT: 6'7" WEIGHT: 264lbs HAIR COLOR: Blond EYE COLOR: Blue DEFINING TRAITS: His staggering height and wide, thick build make him stand out in a crowd. He keeps his hair cropped short, usually. When he allows it to grow out, it tends to curl and get out of his control. Does Brian like that? No. He doesn't. He is always clean shaven, and if you find him not so, he's probably been at the bottle. CLOTHING STYLES: Brian dresses himself nicely, in generally patriotic colors (for the UK) or browns. He wears lots of white, despite having to trudge about in a lab coat most days. He's a shopper at heart and loves to keep his wardrobe updated with the nicest fabrics, newest styles and most expensive choices. OTHER: Post-December 2009, Brian wears his wedding band, that had previously belonged to his father. He also sports a carved titanium ring. He can sometimes be spotted sporting a pair of suspenders. He has a taste for hats. It doesn't matter what kind, really, as long as they're well-made and he looks good in them. His favorites are his newsboy caps, though, followed by fedoras. (Amulet of Right: Mystical amulet with the ability to heal. Star Scepter: Mystical scepter which increases the battle prowess of the wielder. Sword of Might: Mystical sword which grants the wielder superhuman abilities.) FAMILY: Father - Sir (Baron) James Braddock (deceased) Mother - Lady (Baroness) Elizabeth Braddock (deceased) Siblings - Baroness of Buckinghamshire, Elizabeth 'Betsy' Braddock (twin sister - model_behaviour) Baron of Buckinghamshire, James "Jamie" Braddock Jr. (older brother - w_a_r_p) HISTORY: Brian and his siblings were raised for a few years in England, living the life of a politician’s family. Their father was a mutant, a telekine. When he was discovered, he came out openly to the public about his abilities and that he had never used them in a threatening manner against any person. This allowed him to continue his work in promoting the scientific study of mutation and the study of specific mutants in the field of medicine. One of his associates was Dr. Moira McTaggart. Through their discoveries, they found out quite a bit about the genome of those individuals carrying the ‘mutant x gene’. James was knighted for his support and funding in the decade-long project and given the opportunity to travel to America - serving as England’s Ambassador for Mutants. When it was discovered that his children carried the mutant x gene, James quickly enrolled them in Xavier’s School for the Gifted. Charles’ school was recommended by Moira, before his departure. After the death of their parents, Brian, Betsy and Jamie were at a loss for what to do with their lives. The twins set up dual-citizenship, while Jamie returned to England. Betsy was rather grief-stricken and became conflicted - emotionally and with her abilities. She strayed from her brother(s) and pursued modeling. Brian is working on avoiding his brother and studying medicine. RELATIONSHIPS: His idol is Hank McCoy, and he always made it known that he looked up to the blue man. In his early days at Xavier's, he was highly attracted to Dr. Jean Grey, followed by a fascination with Lorna Dane - two older, refined and scientific-minded ladies whom he both looked up to as educators and adored in a crush sort of way. He has dated several women from his university, but is awaiting Jubilee's coming of (legal) age to begin dating her seriously. His best friend is Piotr Rasputin and should it fall under circumstance, he would grow old with Colossus and live out his days as a bumbling bachelor with Pete as his yang.
